Surah Al-Baqarah, Arabic word “Baqarah” means “The Cow”. This is the longest chapter of the Quran. Surah Baqarah Last 2 Ayat Benefits encourages fasting for the believer during the month of Ramadan. Approximately 25500 letters are found in 286 verses (ayahs).

The Prophet (peace be upon him) once advised that reciting Surah Baqarah Last 2 Ayat Benefits before bedtime is sufficient. ءَامَنَ ٱلرَّسُولُ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِن رَّبِّهِۦ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ- ۚ كُلٌّ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَمَلَٰٓئِكَتِهِۦ وَكُتُبِهِۦ وَرُسُلِهِ-ۦ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِّن رُّسُلِهِۦ- ۚ وَقَالُوا۟ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا ۖ غُفْرَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَإِلَيْكَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ

AYAT (2:285)

لَا يُكَلِّفُ ٱللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۚ- لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا مَا ٱكْتَسَبَتْ ۗ- رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَآ إِن نَّسِينَآ أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا -ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَآ إِصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُۥ- عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِۦ -ۖ وَٱعْفُ عَنَّا وَٱغْفِرْ لَنَا وَٱرْحَمْنَآ ۚ أَنتَ مَوْلَىٰنَا فَٱنصُرْنَا عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ

Aamanar-Rasoolu bima unzila ilaihi mir-Rabbihi walmu’minoon, kullun aamana billaahi wa Malaaa’ikathihi wa Kutubhihi wa Rusulihi laa nufarriqu baina ahadim-mir-Rusulih wa qaaloo sami’naa wa ata’naa ghufraanaka Rabbanaa wa ilaikal-maseer.

Laa yukalliful-laahu nafsan illaa wus’aha, laha ma kasabat wa ‘alaiha maktasabat; Rabbanaa laa tu’aakhizna in naseena aw akhtaana, Rabbana wala tahmil-‘alaina isran kama hamaltahoo ‘alal-lazeena min qablinaa; Rabbanaa wa laa tuhammilna maa laa taaqata lanaa bih; wa’fu ‘annaa waghfir lanaa warhamnaa; Anta mawlaanaa fansurnaa ‘alal qawmil kaafireen.

AYAT (2:285)

The Messengers had faith in what was revealed to them by their Lord. Likewise, the believers have faith in Allah, His angels, His Books, and His Messengers. They absolutely declare, “We do not differentiate between His messengers.” Their resounding proclamation continues, “We have heard and obeyed. Our Lord, we seek Your forgiveness and have to return to You.

AYAT (2:286)

Allah does not burden any soul rather than they can bear. Each person will be held accountable for what they have earned with the result for their actions. Our Lord! praying, ‘Do not hold us accountable if we forget or make mistakes. Our Lord, do not place upon us burdens like those placed upon those before us. Our Lord, do not burden us that we do not have strength to carry. Forgive us, conceal our faults, and shower us with your mercy. You are our protector so grant us success over those who reject faith or disbelieve (Kufr).

Benefits of Listening & reciting to Surah Baqarah

Surah Baqarah’s last two Ayats are the Quran’s most important verses. There is no doubt that every verse has value and significance since the Prophet (SAW) stressed its importance in numerous narrations. I hope these verses inspire you to make them a part of your daily routine.

1. Protect overnight while sleeping

In a hadith narrated by Abu Masud, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) stated that if someone recites the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah before going to sleep, it will serve as a protective shield throughout the night.

2. The Surah Baqarah protects the house from the Devil

Following the Isha prayer, it is advisable to recite the last 2 Ayat of Surah Baqarah before bedtime to provide overnight protection and Having enough protection against Shaytan. This practice serves as a protective measure and helps to to prevent the Devil from entering the room. It also keep the room and house safe from the Devil.

3. Be Enough for own reciters

The messenger of Allah Prophet Hazrat Muhammad SAWW said whoever recites the last two ayat of Surah Baqarah at night would suffice him. Scholars have derived two meanings of suffixing is that it will be enough for one’s own reciters.

4. Protect from Black Magic

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) faced a challenge from sorcerers.  The prophet (SAW) combated the sorcerers by reciting the verses of the Quran. The effects of sorcery are described in many parts of the Quran to prevent it.

5. Shab-e-Meraj Gift

At Shab-e-Meraj, Allah had given the Prophet (SAW) three gifts

  • First, the five times of namaz
  • Second gift, the last two ayats of surah Baqrah
  • Thirdly, forgiveness for all sins of believers

6. Ayat of Noor

This verse will have Noor in every word (Harf) because Allah has given the good news to our prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) through Jibril Alaihis salam (the Angel Gabriel).

7. High Peak of Quran

Allah’s Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) Said:

“Everything has a hump, high peak. The hump and High peak of the Quran is Surah Al Baqarah.

” Reciting this at night will prevent the devil from entering his house for three nights and reciting it during the day will prevent him from entering his house for three days.” (Tirmidhi, 2878)

Surah Baqarah Last 2 Ayat Benefits according to Hadith

Hadith 1

As reported by Ibn Mas’ud from the Prophet (PBUH), he said: “Whoever recites the last two verses of Surah Baqarah at night will be sufficient.”    (Bukhari)

Hadith 2

Abu Dharr reported that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said: “I was given the final verses of Surah Al-Baqarah from a treasure trove beneath the Throne; no Prophet had been given them before me.”   (Ahmad)

Hadith 3

According to Ibn Abbas: Jibreel heard a door opening when he was sitting with the Prophet (PBUH). As he raised his eyes to the heavens he exclaimed: “There is a door that has never been opened in the heavens before.”

The Angel Gabriel said to the Prophet (PBUH): “I bring you the good news of two Lights which have been given to you and no Prophet before you have ever received them. Fatihat al Kitaba And Surah Baqarah Last 2 Ayat. You must not recite a single letter from them unless you are given the reward for reciting.  (Narrated by Ibn Abi Laila)
